What data we collect

  • Account data: email address and hashed password when you register
  • Usage data: tracks generated, downloads, credits used, login timestamps
  • Payment data: processed by Stripe — we do not store card details
  • Generated content: AI-generated audio files you create and keep

Why we collect it

  • To provide the SynthForge service (account management, track generation, downloads)
  • To process payments via Stripe
  • To check generated tracks against copyright databases via ACRCloud
  • To send account verification and transactional emails

Who we share it with

  • Stripe — payment processing (stripe.com/privacy)
  • ACRCloud — copyright detection (acrcloud.com/privacy)
  • udioapi.pro — AI music generation API
  • Cloudflare — bot protection via Turnstile (cloudflare.com/privacypolicy)

We do not sell your personal data to any third party.

How long we keep it

  • Account data: retained while your account is active, deleted on request
  • Generated tracks: stored for 30 days if unclaimed, indefinitely if kept to your library
  • Payment records: retained for 7 years as required by UK law

Cookies

SynthForge uses essential session cookies only. These are strictly necessary to keep you logged in and cannot be disabled without breaking the service. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.

Your rights under UK GDPR

Under UK GDPR you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Right of access — request a copy of all personal data we hold about you
  • Right to rectification — request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Right to erasure — request deletion of your account and all associated data
  • Right to object — object to processing of your data
  • Right to data portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format

How to exercise your rights

Self-service (fastest): Log into your SynthForge account and go to your Account page where you can delete your account and all associated data immediately.

By email: Email [email protected] with the subject line Data Request. Include your registered email address and state whether you want to access, correct or delete your data. We will respond within 30 days as required by UK law.

Complaints: If you are unhappy with how we handle your data you can contact the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
