SYNTHFORGE HELP
01 — GETTING STARTED
SynthForge lets you generate unique, AI-generated music tracks with built-in copyright checking. The workflow is simple:
02 — GENRE & SUB-GENRE
Start by selecting a main genre family, then optionally pick a sub-genre for a more specific sound.
Example: Trance → Goa Trance gives you a more specific psychedelic flavour than generic Trance.
If you leave sub-genre as None, the main genre is used on its own.
When you change genre, the BPM and key automatically update to a suggested starting point — but you can change them to anything you like.
03 — BPM & KEY
| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| BPM | Sets the tempo of your track. Most EDM sits between 120–160 BPM. Hi-Tech Psy can exceed 200 BPM. |
| Key | The musical key. Minor keys sound darker and more intense. Major keys sound brighter and more uplifting. |
04 — ENERGY & TRACK TYPE
| Option | What it does |
|---|---|
| High Energy | Aggressive and loud — maximum intensity throughout. |
| Medium Energy | Balanced — a good starting point for most tracks. |
| Low Energy | Subtle and understated — works well for intros and ambient tracks. |
| Standard Track | Normal arrangement with a full intro, build, drop and outro. |
| DJ Track | Long intro (32+ bars) and long outro for easy beat-matching in a DJ set. |
| Club Edit | Tight, punchy arrangement with maximum energy and minimal intro/outro. |
05 — BLUEPRINT SECTIONS
The blueprint lets you describe each section of your track separately using tag chips.
| Section | What it is |
|---|---|
| INTRO | The opening of the track. Usually atmospheric and minimal, building anticipation. |
| BUILD | The tension before the drop. Energy rises, elements layer in, filters open up. |
| DROP | The peak moment — full energy, heavy kick, main melody or bassline hits hard. |
| BREAKDOWN | A moment of relief after the drop. Stripped back, emotional, breathing space. |
| OUTRO | The closing of the track. Elements drop away, energy fades, track winds down. |
06 — TAG CHIPS
Tag chips are prompt words that get sent to the AI as part of your track description. Click a chip to select it — selected chips are highlighted in the section colour.
When a genre is selected, relevant chips are shown at full brightness and less relevant ones are faded. You can still select faded chips — tick HIGHLIGHT ALL TAGS to see everything at full brightness.
You can also type your own words in the + add your own words box in each section.
07 — LYRICS
Tick INCLUDE LYRICS IN TRACK to add vocals to your generation. You can either write your own lyrics or use the AI to generate them. AI Lyrics: 1 credit
Writing your own lyrics:
Use tags like [Verse], [Chorus], [Bridge] to structure them. Shorter and simpler lyrics work best. Avoid referencing real people, brands, religions or political figures.
08 — GENERATING YOUR TRACK
Hit ⚡ GENERATE FULL TRACK to start. Generation takes 2–4 minutes. Two variations are always created — Version A and Version B — so you have options to choose from.
Credits used per generation:
Track generation: 1 credit | AI Lyrics: 1 credit | Plugin Export: 1 credit
Generated tracks are automatically saved to your My Tracks library. Click ↺ NEW TRACK to clear and start a fresh blueprint.
09 — PLUGIN EDITOR
The Plugin Editor lets you apply professional audio processing to your track before downloading. Select a track from My Tracks to load it into the editor.
| Plugin | What it does |
|---|---|
| 5-Band EQ | Boost or cut specific frequency ranges. Low = bass, Lo-Mid = warmth, Mid = presence, Hi-Mid = attack, High = air and brightness. |
| Compressor | Controls the dynamic range. Threshold sets when it kicks in, Ratio sets how hard it compresses, Attack/Release control the timing, Make-up adds back lost volume. |
| Reverb | Adds space and depth. Room sets the size, Decay sets how long it lasts, Wet sets how much reverb is blended in. |
10 — DOWNLOADING
Click the download button on any track in My Tracks or the Just Generated panel. You can edit the filename before downloading — spaces are supported.
Tracks are downloaded as high quality audio with metadata (title, artist, genre) embedded. WAV files include full metadata via the Plugin Editor export route.
